Air India is discontinuing routine laundry services for pilots and cabin crew during international layovers, starting July 1, as part of a wider effort to control costs. Instead of hotel laundry services, an iron and ironing board will be provided in crew members' hotel rooms during overseas layovers, and crew can also request additional uniform sets if needed. The laundry facility will continue to be available during domestic layovers, and certain overseas assignments, like flight diversions or training, are also exempt from the new policy.
